History

The Straw Man is a benevolent entity that appears to emerge from a dimension within its painting. The painting has been sought after by those interested in the occult. Most notably the cult of Kulumai has looked for it in revenge for the Straw Man's opposition to their master.

The Straw Man has associated with Jess Duncan and may have possessed him.

When the Fear Lords were gathered, Straw Man opposed the others. He informed Doctor Strange through the 'Horror TV' program.

Powers and Abilities

Powers

The Straw Man forms scarecrow bodies to exist out of his painting. These bodies can summon a murder of crows, animate plant life, affect weather, open warps, and cause fear through its laughter. His corporeal bodies are immune to most forms of conventional weaponry. Bullets and bladed weapons do superficial damage at best, and his straw-packed limbs restitch themselves immediately after suffering the slightest injury.

Abilities

None known.

Strength level

Straw Man can probably lift up to 5 times his own weight.

Weaknesses

His straw bodies are vulnerable to fire and it takes him some time to reform.

Paraphernalia

Equipment: None known.
Transportation: None known.
