History
Little is detailed about Iron Man’s life before the zombie plague arrived on Earth-2149, however it can be presumed that it followed much the same path as Iron Man (Earth-616).
Iron Man is at Avengers Mansion when a man tries to blast his way into the mansion. He, and the other Avengers greet the intruder and demand he explain himself. The man begins ranting about an Army of the Dead, and begins to get a little hot under the collar under Scarlet Witch spirits him away.
Presumably, those remaining at the Avengers Mansion after Col. America and the others leave to investigate reports of purple lightning and something fallen from the sky, receive a call from Nick Fury to join the resistance aboard the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, and leave to join them.
While a team is dispatched back to the surface, Iron Man and a few of the boffins stay behind to try and work out how exactly to stop this thing. Tony shows Nick Fury a teleportation device he has been working on. Unfortunately, he explains, it can only work with a similar device in the destination dimension, and so will need coordination with the reality in order to escape. Just then, the zombified Fantastic Four burst into the lab and attack the un-armoured Stark, and before he can put on his Iron Man armour he is bitten. Reed then tells the others to collect the pieces of the transporter, and start moving it to the Baxter Building.
When Beast and Reed Richards find a sizeable stash of meat in Latveria and the surrounding area, Cage and a huge horde of zombies head off to lay siege to Castle Doomstadt.
Unable to gain access to the fortress, presumably, Luke gets held up by the risen Deadite Legion, and at some point returns to New York.
In New York, while Col. America is explaining to Iron Man why Magneto's body was not shared with everyone, the Silver Surfer appears in the sky above them, and Stark leads the charge against him.
With the Herald of Galactus down, Hulk manages, somehow, to bite his head off, and Rogers, Stark, Parker, Pym, Cage, and Wolverine manage to get a piece in them at the expense of the rest of the zombies.
With none of the cosmic being left, the others begin complaining that they didn't get to feed, and as the Colonel vigourously explains to Beast how things work, a burst of the Power Cosmic shoots from his hand and obliterates Beast's head.
Realising they have somehow been imbued with the Power Cosmic, the seven newly Power Cosmic Zombies, fry the masses of zombies gathered around them in a (fruitless) attempt to improve their flavour.
Suddenly, looming over them appears Galactus, who has come to devour their world. They attack him with the Power Cosmic, but he repels them with his much greater power. They retreat to Pym's lab, and formulate a plan for bringing down the giant being.
With the last sheets of Vibranium from Wakanda, the Power Cosmic Zombies build a gun-like contraption which combines all of their individual beams of Power Cosmic into one super strong beam.
While moving the weapon into position they notice that a group of zombified super-villains, are attacking Galactus, but having little effect. The Power Cosmic Zombies take their first shot, but it takes another to put him down.
At this point, the heroes and the villains face off, for who will get the remains.
Stark and his group are victorious and are tucking into the World Devourer's corpse when the bodies of Fantastic Four drop into the street closely followed by a miraculously uninfected Dr Doom.
After travelling through the cosmos, devouring planets as they go, the Zombie Galacti arrive at the Skrull home planet. During the journey, it appears that Cage and Stark have developed some kind of bickering relationship, though the tension is quickly broken when Spidey collides face first with a force field.
Wolverine, rips through the defensive field with his claws, and the Galacti squeeze through. Like many of the civilisations before, the Skrulls try to defend themselves by firing missiles at them, but the zombified heroes destroy them easily with the Power Cosmic.
They comment that they are quite weak, as travelling though the barren spaces in between systems, they sustain themselves by feeding off the Power Cosmic, but now need to recharge.
On reaching the planet surface Tony and Luke first come across some kind of bug, and they attack that, then turn to gorge on the Skrull populace. Hulk says that he is still hungry, and Cage tells him that he’s a zombie; that he’ll always be hungry. Hulk obviously doesn’t take kindly to this over-simplification, and punches Cage far into the sky. Iron Man tries to placate Hulk with an offered Skrull leg, but Hulk has something to say that only Banner could explain.
With most of the Skrulls on the ground devoured, the Zombie Galacti, concentrate on the Skrull Warships circling them. Iron Man and the other Zombie Galacti penetrate the hulls of the warships and feast on the delights within.
The Zombie Galacti travel search for and devour Skrulls in the city itself, Ironman consuming a Skrull General and Sergeant, who are running from Wolverine. They seem unstoppable, but chasing after a group of Skrulls they run into the bug they met when they first arrived, this time, however, it has been zombified, and eats some of the Skrulls. The zombified heroes attack but the bug punches them into the side of a building far away. They decide to eat some more, before they attack again.
Cage finally rejoins the rest of the Zombie Galacti, where they quickly return to bickering and arguing. Stark loses his temper and tries to blast Cage with a bolt of Power Cosmic, but it has no effect on a similarly powered being. Luke simply walks up to Stark and punches him high through the air.
Iron man rejoins his compatriots, and they confront the New Fantastic Four in a crashed Skrull ship, and demand that they hand over the Tran dimensional device that they have been using, the Zombie Galacti get into an argument about what they have become again, and the Fantastic Four use the distraction to escape.
Wolverine decides instead to search the Skrull ship for any injured Skrulls to snack on, but only comes across Thanos, and his mistress Death. They offer the Zombies a reward for their destruction; an end to their undeadness. Though Spider-Man discovers that they are far from what they seem. As the projections of Thanos and Death disappear, the two Skrulls beneath beg for their lives.
With the last of the Skrulls eaten, the Zombie Galacti decide to explore the Galactus element to their powers, and begin to consume the planet, eventually being left floating in space.
40 Years Later
At the edge of the known universe, Tony and the other Zombie Galacti have been joined by Thanos, Firelord, Gladiator, and Dark Phoenix. At some point in the previous forty years, Iron Man has reverted to his original costume, and obtained a cybernetic lower body.
It seems that they have consumed most of the universe, and so decide to make their way back to Earth in order to rebuild the teleportation device originally built by Stark. Along the way back to Earth, Tony and the other zombies stop and devour a living planet and continue their trek back to Earth.
Upon returning to Earth, Tony and the other zombies discover a colony of human survivors in New York, now known as New Wakonda. After Giant Man declares a plan to create a breeding program to have food for eternity, Spider-Man and Luke Cage rebel and fight Tony and the others. A force field is activated, protecting Black Panther's stronghold and the survivors, but sealing Gladiator and an unconscious Bruce Banner inside and cutting Cage in half. Gladiator gets in a fight with Spider-Man and Cage, and is also attacked by someone in Tony's Mark I suit. After Gladiator is killed, Tony asks who is in the Mark I suit, and it is Forge, who says that Stark International's doors are no longer closed and that he updated everything Tony ever did.
The zombies depart for the Baxter Building, where they discover that Reed Richards' security devices are still activated, and they are attacked. After realizing Forge must have taken the teleporter, they return to the force field, where they find Wasp, Black Panther, Spider-Man, and Luke Cage (with a cybernetic lower half as well). Giant Man agrees to take the device only and not eat the survivors, but once the field is deactivated, the "good" zombies attack the others. The force field is reactivated, but Tony has found his way in. He promises that he won't eat too much before getting the device and enters the stronghold.
While looking around, searching for survivors, he is intercepted by the new Colonel America, Forge (in the Mark I suit), Malcolm Cortez, and the Acolytes. After the force field is deactivated and the zombies get through, all of the other zombies realize that their hunger is gone. However, their moment of shock is cut short, as Bruce Banner awoke earlier (and inadvertently deactivated the force field) and has become the Hulk. He breaks through the wall and demands to eat everything he can. Tony is one of the zombies that tries to stop the Hulk, but is killed by the Hulk when he breaks his foot through Tony's armor. "Iron Man" is seen written on a tombstone during the funeral held for the fallen heroes (along with Phoenix, Hulk, Hawkeye, Firelord).
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Repulsors: Concussive force that are fired from the palms of his gauntlets.
- Flight: The armour could reach speeds in excess of Mach 3, until he lost his legs to Silver Surfer.
- The Power Cosmic: The Zombie Galacti each possess a share of the Power Cosmic which was granted to Silver Surfer by Galactus. They have the ability to absorb and tap ambient cosmic energy into their bodies at will, and expel those energies violently, or in more subtle ways. They can channel beams of energy through their hands with great destructive force. Presumably, other uses of their Power Cosmic include the ability to phase through objects, accelerate the evolution of life forms, see the past by peeling back the layers of time, time travel, trans dimensional travel, the manipulation/absorption and discharge of any form of energy or radiation, though the only other use of power cosmic that is seen is teleportation through hyperspace. The distances which they can teleport is almost limitless.
Essentially, the Power Cosmic gives the Zombie Galacti mastery over the four fundamental forces of the universe:
- Electro-magnetism
- Manipulation of Gravity
- Ability to store and discharge nuclear force (Strong/Weak Force).
Abilities
Quite apart from the powers granted him by the suit, Stark is an inventive mechanical engineering prodigy, constantly creating new technology and looking for ways to improve it. Furthermore, this extends to his remarkable ingenuity dealing with difficult situations such as difficult foes and death-traps where he is capable of using his available tools like his suit in unorthodox and effective ways.
Strength level
Without his armour Tony Stark possesses the normal strength of a normal human man his age, height, and build who engages in moderate regular exercise. The armour magnifies Stark's strength to superhuman levels, enabling him to lift (press) roughly 90 tons.
Weaknesses
None known.
Paraphernalia
Equipment: Iron Man wears a sophisticated suit of body armour containing various offensive weaponry.
Transportation: None known.
Weapons: None known.
