Christos Gage is a busy man, but finds time to frequent
CBR often. This week, the site has an interview and inside look at the five issue mini-series based on the
House of M version of the
Avengers.
Joining Gage will be artist Mike Perkins. Interest in the Earth-58163 reality is still high, as Gage says "the trade paperbacks are still selling quite well; they're very popular in libraries, and Marvel has been asked for new material set in that world." The realities Avengers will focus on "Luke Cage and his band of freedom fighters" that will include Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Iron Fist, Moon Knight, Tigra, the Sons of the Tiger, Misty Knight, and eventually Cloak and the White Tiger in a "decades-spanning tale".
Also, an FBI task force is organized by Cage to test the Avengers. This group will be led by Thunderbird and includes the Punisher, the Blob, Taskmaster, Feral and others. Along with them, there will be other criminal syndicates present, such as Shang-Chi's Dragons, the Kingpin and his assassins, including Bullseye, Elektra, and others.
