History
Little is detailed about Wolverine’s life before the zombie plague arrived on Earth-2149, however it can be presumed that it followed much the same path as Wolverine (Earth-616).
At the Xavier Institute, Wolverine and a number of X-Men, are battling a zombified Alpha Flight, when Magneto arrives, and propels metallic debris through the zombies heads with his magnetic powers, and he asks them to help him save humanity.
Presumably, they get in contact with Nick Fury, and battle their way through the city to reach the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, which is acting as base of operations for the resistance. Here they hear Nick Fury tell them that it is the end of the world, and that everyone is now on the same side, including Magneto.
Wolverine is part of a team that returns to the surface, in order to try and kill the zombie threat, unfortunately he is overwhelmed and turned.
Beast and Reed Richards find a sizeable stash of meat in Latveria and the surrounding area, so Wolverine and a huge horde of zombies head off to lay siege to Castle Doomstadt. A few of them manage to get through the magical force-field protecting the castle, and confront Dr Doom, Scarlet Witch, and Ashley J. Williams. Scarlet Witch is bitten by the zombified Punisher, and the other two make their getaways.
While searching for the meat, Logan is suddenly surrounded by the re-animated corpses of the Deadite Legion, though this is more of an inconvenience than anything else, as they are no match for his Adamantium claws.
He, Hulk, and Thing crash into a room as Ash steps through a teleportation portal tossing a book behind him. Doom then destroys the device, and as Thing gives Doom a clobberin’, Wolverine picks up the Book of the Dead.
He tells it that its Deadite army wasn’t good enough, and the Necronomicon begs not to be eaten, but Logan explains that they don’t eat books. They do, however, need toilet roll…
Prowling for food, back in New York, Logan smells out a tasty morsel, and follows it back to it’s hiding place, then informs the other Zombies who attack the sanctuary. They all miss out on a feed, however, when the humans hidden there escape to another dimension.
In the rubble of the destroyed Baxter Building, Wolverine and a group of zombies confront a remaining Magneto. Magnus escapes once more however, but they catch up with him once again when Wasp sneaks up behind him and bites his neck. Immobilised Magneto is quickly torn apart by the gathered super-zombies.
Briefly sated, the Marvel Zombies sit around and try to work out what’s happening to them, Logan says that his mutant healing factor isn’t working. Just then, Silver Surfer appears in the sky, and their minds are quickly driven back to food.
Silver Surfer is attacked by most of the Marvel Zombies, though none of them seem to be able to hurt him. Logan charges in with his Adamantium claws, but his necrotized flesh no longer can hold them in his arm. So, when he strikes the Surfer’s indestructible skin, his claws are ripped from his arm. Iron Man, having lost his legs to the Surfer, asks Wolverine to throw him into the fray, with which Logan gladly helps.
When Hulk, bites the Silver Surfer’s head off, Wolverine and a few of the others manage to get some of the Herald’s flesh, and somehow become imbued with the Power Cosmic.
The newly Power Cosmic zombies, decide to see if their necrotized compatriots taste any better ‘cooked’ and so blast them and eat them. But as they decide that they still taste horrible, Galactus appears to devour the planet. The zombies try to take the devourer of worlds, but are quickly overpowered, and so decide to make a tactical retreat.
They decide to try to combine their Power Cosmic into one beam by building a kind of gun. After constructing it from Vibranium from Wakanda, they drag it out to confront Galactus. But as they set it up, they see a group of zombified super-villains attacking the space god.
Though he doesn’t go down immediately, it only takes a couple of shots to fell the devourer of worlds. Then it falls to the two groups of zombies to fight over the remains. Wolverine takes out Juggernaut, and shifts his attentions to Sabretooth, then Doctor Octopus.
Galactus, starts to get up again, but the zombies fall on him before he can recover completely. As they finish off the world devourer, out of nowhere the dead bodies of the Fantastic Four flop onto the street, followed closely by Doctor Doom, the zombies spot him, and attack.
After travelling through the cosmos, devouring planets as they go, the Zombie Galacti arrive at the Skrull home planet. During the journey, it appears that Cage and Iron Man have developed some kind of bickering relationship, though the tension is quickly broken when Spidey collides face first with a force field.
Wolverine rips through the defensive field with his claws, and the Galacti squeeze through. Like many of the civilisations before, the Skrulls try to defend themselves by firing missiles at them, but the zombified heroes destroy them easily with the Power Cosmic.
They comment that they are quite weak, as travelling though the barren spaces in between systems, they sustain themselves by feeding off the Power Cosmic, but now need to recharge.
On reaching the planet surface Tony and Luke first come across some kind of bug, and they attack that, then turn to gorge on the Skrull populace. Hulk says that he is still hungry, and Cage tells him that he’s a zombie; that he’ll always be hungry. Hulk obviously doesn’t take kindly to this over-simplification, and punches Cage far into the sky. Iron Man tries to placate Hulk with an offered Skrull leg, but Hulk has something to say that only Banner could explain.
With most of the Skrulls on the ground devoured, the Zombie Galacti, concentrate on the Skrull Warships circling them. Iron Man and the other Zombie Galacti penetrate the hulls of the warships and feast on the delights within.
The Zombie Galacti travel search for and devour Skrulls in the city itself, Wolverine slaughtering a line of Skrull soldiers. They seem unstoppable, but chasing after a group of Skrulls they run into the bug they met when they first arrived, this time, however, it has been zombified, and eats some of the Skrulls. The zombified heroes attack but the bug punches them into the side of a building far away. They decide to eat some more, before they attack again.
Cage finally rejoins the rest of the Zombie Galacti, where they quickly return to bickering and arguing. Stark loses his temper and tries to blast Cage with a bolt of Power Cosmic, but it has no effect on a similarly powered being. Luke simply walks up to Stark and punches him high through the air.
With Ironman now absent, Cage takes opportunity of the peace and quiet to tell the others of his discovery of a possible way to get to another Earth, much to their delight. They confront the New Fantastic Four in a crashed Skrull ship, and demand that they hand over the Tran dimensional device that they have been using, the Zombie Galacti get into an argument about what they have become again, and the Fantastic Four use the distraction to escape.
Wolverine decides instead to search the Skrull ship for any injured Skrulls to snack on, but only comes across Thanos, and his mistress Death. They offer the Zombies a reward for their destruction; an end to their undeadness. Though Spider-Man discovers that they are far from what they seem. As the projections of Thanos and Death disappear, the two Skrulls beneath beg for their lives.
With the last of the Skrulls eaten, the Zombie Galacti decide to explore the Galactus element to their powers, and begin to consume the planet, eventually being left floating in space.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Superhuman Reflexes: Wolverine's bodily reaction time is accelerated to levels beyond the human body's natural limits.
- Superhuman Agility: Wolverine's agility, bodily coordination, and balance are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits.
- Superhumanly Acute Senses: Wolverine possesses superhumanly acute senses that are comparable to those of certain animals. He can see at far greater distances, with perfect clarity, than an ordinary human. He retains this same level of clarity even in near total darkness. His hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, allowing him to detect sounds ordinary humans can't or to hear at much greater distances. He is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if they are well hidden. He can track a target by scent, even if the scent has been greatly eroded by time and weather factors, with an impressive degree of success.
- Superhuman Strength: Wolverine's Mutant Healing Factor enables him to push his muscles beyond the natural limits of the human body without injury, granting him some degree of superhuman strength.
Bone Claws: Wolverine's skeleton includes six retractable one-foot-long bone claws, three in each arm, that are housed beneath the skin and muscle of his forearms. Wolverine can, at will, release these slightly curved claws through his skin beneath the knuckles on each hand.
- The Power Cosmic: The Zombie Galacti each possess a share of the Power Cosmic which was granted to Silver Surfer by Galactus. They have the ability to absorb and tap ambient cosmic energy into their bodies at will, and expel those energies violently, or in more subtle ways. They can channel beams of energy through their hands with great destructive force. Presumably, other uses of their Power Cosmic include the ability to phase through objects, accelerate the evolution of life forms, see the past by peeling back the layers of time, time travel, trans dimensional travel, the manipulation/absorption and discharge of any form of energy or radiation, though the only other use of power cosmic that is seen is teleportation through hyperspace. The distances which they can teleport is almost limitless.
Essentially, the Power Cosmic gives the Zombie Galacti mastery over the four fundamental forces of the universe:
- Electro-magnetism
- Manipulation of Gravity
- Ability to store and discharge nuclear force (Strong/Weak Force).
Abilities
- Special Skills: Due to his extensive training as a soldier, a samurai, a spy, Wolverine is an exceptional hand-to-hand combatant, having mastered virtually every fighting style on Earth and is also well versed in the art of espionage.
Strength level
As a result of Wolverine's constant cellular regeneration and the additional weight and tensile strength of his skeleton he has some degree of superhuman strength enabling him to press somewhere in excess of 800 lbs and no more than 2 tons.
Weaknesses
None known.
Paraphernalia
Equipment: Adamantium Laced Skeleton: Not part of Wolverine's natural mutant attributes, Wolverine's entire skeleton, including his bone claws, is laced with the rare, artificial, and virtually indestructible alloy known as Adamantium.
Transportation: None known.
Weapons: None known.
