The history of Bug is similar to that of his Earth-616 counterpart. In recent history on Earth-9997, the Microverse in which Bug resided in was swept with madness caused by the Psycho Man's emotocaster. Causing great upheaval, and upon the murder of Artircus Rann, the realm began to crumble. The remaining members of Rann's subjects managed to flee the destruction, however couldn't escale the Promethius Pitt because it was blocked by the corpse of the Man-Thing who sacrificed his life to prevent Psycho-Man from escaping the Microverse. They were eventually freed when Mar-Vel and a group of heroes went to he H.E.L. Laboratories to collect the Psycho Man's Emotocaster. Joining the suriving members of the Microverse as the Ant Men, they were assigned to watch Pope Immortus and his Church of Immortus, who were trying to topple the Human Torches because they believed a mutated humanity had a destiny in the stars. When it became apparent that Immortus was being manipulated by Mr. Church (really Mephisto in disguise) the Ant Men tried to talk Immortus out of listening to him but to no avail. Later, Bug and the rest of the Ant Men were prestent at the wedding of King Britain and Medusa. Bug's current whereabouts are unknown. Related Articles:
